The 24-year-old forward will return to the USA in order to pursue a job in finance.

Mike Rudolf will put an end to his professional hockey career

It is not yet clear where he will end up, but probably “somewhere in the east oft he USA”, as he tells the Aargauer Zeitung. Rudolf will make use of an out-clause in his contract with EHC Olten, which allows him to leave the team after only one season.

Rudolf played two seasons in EVZ’s organization from 2011 to 2013 before going back to the US in order to go to Colby College. In 2018, he then returned to Switzerland to play for the EVZ Academy. This season, he has recorded three goals and nine assists in 35 games for Olten.
