Swiss League

After almost five seasons away from Zug, the 23-year-old defenseman will join the EVZ Academy next season.

Marco Forrer will suit up for the EVZ Academy.

With his experience of 125 games in the National League, Marco Forrer is also a candidate for games with EV Zug, the press release of the club states. In addition to Forrer, also defender Daniel Gysi (from Lawrence University, NCAA III) and forward Simon Wüest (EHC Biel jun.) will suit up for EVZ's farm team next season.

Whereas Dario Wüthrich will play for EV Zug next season, his fellow defenseman Emil Kristensen ((DEN)) will leave EVZ's organization. The Academy's two import-spots are thus still open and it is possible that they will hire an import-defenseman as well as a forward, team manager Roland Schmid says. Yannick Brunner, for his part, will retire from professional hockey.

On the goalie position, the EVZ Academy is planning to rely on 19-year-old Robin Meyer and 18-year-old Jay Kobler. The two will share the position with EVZ's backup Luca Hollenstein and the two goalies of their U20-Elit team.

Last but not least, EVZ Academy's young team will be led by the same coaching staff as in this past season: head coach Roger Hansson ((SWE)) and assistant coach Corsin Camichel.
