Emmanuel Tacchini, 37, has held different coaching and managerial positions over the past eight seasons, mainly with HC Sion, where he already assisted Gelinas back in 2017. Most recently, the former defenseman was the head coach for the U17 squad of Lausanne HC. In his short career as a player, Tacchini spent two seasons with HC Sierre at the beginning of the millennium.

For his part, Kyllian Guyenet's past as an HC Sierre's player is far more recent than Tacchini's, as he was the captain of the team that conquered the promotion to the Swiss League in 2019 when Gelinas was already the head coach. After that, the 27-year-old, who spent the majority of his career with either Sierre or Visp, played a handful of games in Australia and Iceland. Contrary to Tacchini, therefore, Guyenet does not have coaching experience as he has just retired.
