Derek Hulak has never played outside of North America. The undrafted forward has only ever suited up for AHL teams since the end of his college career in 2014.
In 18 games for the Manitoba Moose in the 2019-20 season, he recorded two goals and one assists. Derek Hulak and Darcy Murphy will thus serve as HC Thurgau's import player duo for the 2020-21 season.
