With the NHL's training camps starting around the turn of the year, HC Thurgau will have to say good-bye to Brandon Hagel soon. As The Athletic writes, the forward is set to leave Switzerland and return home to Canada soon. He will spend Christmas there and then join his NHL-team, the Chicago Blackhawks, for their camp.
22-year-old Hagel has made 14 games in the Swiss League so far, recording eight goals and seven assists. He has been the best scorer point-per-game wise.
