According to the Oltner Tagblatt, Mason McTavish and Brennan Othmann will return to North America because they are among the players Hockey Canada has selected for the preliminary roster for their U18 World Championship team.
"To prohibit a player from participating in the U18 World Championship in a draft year would be quite impossible," team manager Marc Grieder tells the same source. The two Canadian will leave Switzerland this Friday.
Mason McTavish appeared in 13 regular-season games (nine goals, two assists) and four playoff games (two goals, five assists) for EHC Olten. Brennan Othmann, for his part, suited up in 34 regular-season games (seven goals, nine assists) and four playoff games (one goal, one assist) for the Swiss League team.
