Swiss League

EHC Kloten and HC Ajoie win their respective semifinals and will clash for a spot in the highest league.

Who will earn the spot in the National League?

As both teams already declared that they want to move up if they win the playoffs, it is now clear that a new team will play in the National League as of next season. Of course, they would need green light for a National League licence, this, however, seems to be most likely for Kloten as well as for Ajoie.

From the semi-finalists only SC Langenthal would not be allowed to play in the National League as they rejected promotion in 2019. However, as the team lost their semifinal against Ajoie this is out of question.

EHC Kloten, for their part, were able to overcome Olten in the semis. Thus, Kloten and Ajoie will be battling not only for the Cup but also for a spot in the National League.
