At the end of the current season, the Swiss League could consist of only nine teams as the EVZ Academy will cease their activity, one club could be promoted in the National League, and no clubs from the MySports League could meet the criteria for the promotion in the second-highest tier of Swiss hockey.
Apparently, four club delegates are working on various scenarios to identify interesting candidates to be welcomed in the league. One of these scenarios, which, however, is not a priority at the moment, mentions the possibility of courting foreign clubs located at a reasonable distance from the Swiss borders.
