In their statement, the team also voices its frustration with the way the league handled the Rockets' request regarding a postponement of the game against EHC Kloten.

At the time, several players of Kloten had tested positive for Covid-19 and the Rockets wanted the game to be postponed in order to avoid contagion. The league did, however, not approve their request.

The HCB Ticino Rockets do not have the necessary 15 players available for a game to take place. It is thus likely that the game against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds on January 15 will not take place.
