Team manager Mario Antonelli has finally found the reinforcement he has been looking for. "Karppinen is a forward with a strong hockey IQ. He also has a good shot," Antonelli says. "We are hoping for good impulses from him in the offensive and definitely one or the other scoring point."

The 23-year-old Atte Karppinen has played for three different teams in the past two seasons. For Iisalmen Peli-Karhut (IPK) in Finland's second-highest league as well as for the Black Wings Linz in Austria and, most recently, for HK32 Liptovsky Mikulas in Slovakia.
