Citing personal reasons, the Norwegian forward has decided to continue his career elsewhere.

HC La Chaux-de-Fonds

While one of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds' Norwegians (Sondre Olden) is sticking around, the other one is leaving. After two seasons with them, Mathias Trettenes will no longer be suiting up for the Swiss League team.

"After having found an agreement, Mathias eventually confided to me that he could not sign an additional season for personal reasons", team manager Loïc Burkhalter notes. "I thank him for his professionalism and I wish him all the best for his future."

The 28-year-old made 102 games for Chaux-de-Fonds, recording 33 goals and 74 assists. In his second season, he figured as the team's captain.

"Thanks to the supporters, volunteers and the entire staff. I enjoyed every second of my time in La Chaux-de-Fonds and these two seasons of my hockey career have been magnificent", Trettenes states.
