EHC Winterthur has announced the signing of Sam Coatta for the remainder of the season. The forward joins them from the ESC Moskitos Essen. Prior to his engagement in Germany, the 32-year-old has been with teams in Sweden, Norway, and Hungary. He came to Europe in 2015.
"We were looking for an import player who can help us and is quickly integrated", team manager Mario Antonelli comments. "But of course, the costs have to be as low as possible. With Sam, we have now found this man."
The Swiss League clubs also announced the acquisition of forwards Jayson Ren (Lausanne HC's youth department) and Antonie Guignard (Genève-Servette HC's youth department) on B-licences for the remainder of the season. Both have already suited up for Winterthur this season.
