Their last club, EHC Visp, announced today that the two players have decided to retire from professional hockey.

With Andy Furrer, EHC Visp bids farewell to the player with the most appearances in club history. A native of Visp, Furrer has debuted with the main squad back in 2004. Since then, the now 35-year-old suited up in 912 games for EHC Visp winning two Swiss League championships.

As for Reto Lory, the 34-year-old goaltender spent his last six seasons in Oberwallis for a total of ten seasons over the course of his career. Lory too won the 2011 championship with EHC Visp during his first stint there. The fans of EHC Visp will be able to bid farewell to Furrer and Lory during a game in the 2023-24 season.
