Michal Chmel has been playing in Switzerland since the U17 level, suiting up for HC Ambrì-Piotta's organization. This season, the 27-year-old goaltender appeared in 14 games for the MyHockey League team, posting a 1.41 GAA.
Bo Salerno, for his part, is a product of HC Lugano's organization. He has been suiting up for EHC Arosa since the 2018-19 season, though. This season, he recorded two goals and six assists in 25 regular-season games.
EHC Winterthur has yet to confirm the arrivals of the two players. It is also not yet clear what kind of contracts Chmel and Salerno signed with the Swiss League team.
