Leo Schumacher, 63, is currently the head coach of EV Zug's Elite A juniors, a position which he has held since 17 years. With this youth team, he won the championship twice. Prior to that, he was head coach of EHC Chur and promoted to the National League A in the 1986-1987 season.
Since 2001, Schumacher served, besides his responsibilities in the youth organisation, as EV Zug's assistant coach. And, before that, also as assistant for SC Bern and EHC Kloten. As of the 2017-2018 season, his new position will lead him behind the Lions' bench.
