"I chose this step, even if it was not easy, " says the 33-year-old forward, who is currently playing his 14th season as a professional hockey player. Küng has appeared in games for EV Zug, SC Langenthal, EHC Biel, EHC Olten, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, the EHC Basel Sharks and, of course, Hockey Thurgau throughout his career.

Küng won the NLB championship three times, once with EHC Biel, once with EHC Visp and once with Lausanne HC, but never with Hockey Thurgau, an organisation he has been part of since 2009. He has appeared in over 300 games for them since then. This season thus far, he has scored four goals and nine assists in 40 games.
