According to Le Nouvelliste (relayed by SwissHabs), Hans Kossmann will not succeed John Fust as head coach of EHC Visp. Furthermore, he will also not be involved with Genève-Servette HC, as he tells the Tribune de Genève.

Apparently, Kossmann had been one of the candidates for the vacant head coaching position in Visp and had been in advanced talks with them. He then, however, decided against signing with the NLB team. He is now considering other offers. His focus remains the NLA, but he could also easily return to North America or go to Germany.

Furthermore, the Tribune de Genève had brought up speculations about Kossmann potentially succeeding Chris McSorley, as Hugh Quennec had been seen with Kossmann at last Saturday's game.

"I am not going to replace Chris, he is a friend," says the former HC Ambrì-Piotta coach and adds that while it is true that he watched a game with Quennec last week, it was only because "Zug is not very far from Ambrì. But don't look further than this. Even if one had the impression that Chris was not quite himself during these playoffs, I think that he will stay and will profit from a stronger team and do even better. As usual."
