The 31-year-old forward has given up hope of getting his contract with Hockey Thurgau extended, as the club has not contacted him regarding his future. Therefore, he wants to stand out with performances in the NLA playoffs with HC Davos in order to attract another employer from Switzerland for the next season.
Vaskivuo scored 22 goals and 12 assists in 30 games for Hockey Thurgau in the NLB. In the playoffs with HC Davos, he has scored one goal and one assist in three games thus far.
