Thöny was the Lions' leading scorer in the past two seasons and has put up 39 goals and 18 assists in 93 games for them. Hurter, who will also leave the team, played nine seasons for the Lions, seven of them in the first league.

The 30-year-old defenseman will suit up for EHC Dübendorf next season, as the club announced on Tuesday. Regarding the contract extension of Adrian Wichser, according to Michel Zeiter, they are "on a good track" to get things done.

The futures of forward Fadri Lemm and defenseman Timo Zuber, on the other hand, have yet to be determined. Furthermore, it is not clear if EHC Winterthur will sign an import player for the upcoming season. However, Zeiter is still looking for two forwards or one forward and one defenseman for next term. Which option they will go with will depend on the signings of their partner team EHC Kloten.
