Seiler joined Hockey Thurgau already in January and finished the past season with them. Over this time, he seems to have convinced HCT's staff and has earned himself a two-year contract. Seiler grew up in Frauenfeld, the capital city of Thurgau, and thus returns to his home canton.

Over the course of the past season, the young defenseman wore the jerseys of the GCK Lions (19 games, no points), EHC Dübendorf (ten games, five points) and Hockey Thurgau (eight games, no points).
