First of all, HC Davos's Jens Nater, who played on loan for Hockey Thurgau last season, will soon suit up for Visp. Nater has agreed to a one-year contract. Moreover, Swiss-Austrian center Oliver Achermann will join Visp. From 2014 to 2017, Achermann played for Dornbirner EC of the EBEL and for EHC Bregenzerwal of the Alps Hockey League. Now, he will return to Switzerland, where he had played for several youth teams.

Moreover, forward Alexis Valenza has been signed to a tryout contract, which is valid until the end of August. The 21-year-old forward, who used to play in North American junior leagues, will now have the opportunity to prove himself and earn a contract for the 2017-18 season.

At the same time, Visp has also extended the contract of forward Jules Sturny. Last term, the 20-year-old played his first season in the NLB and managed to score seven points (four goals, three assists) in 51 games. In addition, 19-year-old forward Yanis Djerrah has signed a one-year training contract with EHC Visp, his youth team. Goaltender Hoël Ballestraz, on the other hand, will have the opportunity to play for HC Sierre of the First League via B-license next season.

Additionally, EHC Visp and SC Bern have extended their partnership agreement for another season. Thus, younger SCB players will have the opportunity to play in Visp and gain experience in the NLB. Two defensemen and one forward are expected to join Visp during the team's preparation for the upcoming season.
