As the GCK Lions announce, they will integrate several U20 players into their roster. Furthermore, EHC Winterthur's Gian-Andrea Thöny will join them for the upcoming season.


Defenseman Tim Berni, 17, as well as forwards Rihards Puide, 20, and Justin Sigrist, 18, will join the GCK Lions from their Elite A team. As for Gian-Andrea Thöny, he has signed a one-year contract with the Lions. He last played for EHC Winterthur, scoring 23 goals and eleven assists in 48 games.

There are also several players who will leave the club. Apart from the confirmed departures of Mike Breiter (EHC Dübendorf), Simon Seiler (Hockey Thurgau), Dominik Diem (EHC Biel), and Pascal Zumbühl (EHC Dübendorf), also Billy Hunziker, Jari Allevi, and Fabio Högger will leave the team. Moreover, assistant coach Richi Novak will join the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and serve as head of development for the NLB team.
