Today, in the late afternoon, a judge of the Martigny District Court will decide the fate of Martigny Red Ice. According to Le Nouvelliste (relayed by SwissHabs), there are three possible scenarios.

First of all, if the club is not able to submit documents and prove that the outstanding debt has been settled, the judge will likely impose bankruptcy. However, the club might have found new investors or president Mike Echenard could settle the outstanding balance.

Last Thursday, a judge granted Red Ice a delay of five days for handing in the required documents. The same day, supporters launched a fund-raising campaign. According to Le Nouvelliste, they have collected roughly CHF 50,000.- thus far.

Furthermore, as the same source reports, Red Ice has asked for another delay today. They have requested 15 days to coordinate the rescue plan in progress. As for the judge's verdict, president Mike Echenard and team manager Kimmo Bellman will receive it tomorrow morning.
