As the club announces in a press release, GSHC's team manager Chris McSorley, HC Sierre's leadership and the municipality of Sierre will join forces to work out a concrete farm team project for the 2018-19 season. The final project will be submitted to the League until the end of this year.

Moreover, according to the press release, HC Sierre reaffirms that the club's initial goal for next season - a promotion to the MySports League - remains unchanged.

HC Sierre's decision might probably open the door for other teams to fill the vacant NLB spot in case bankrupt Martigny Red Ice indeed has to throw in the towel.
