As a consequence, Martigny Red Ice will not be able to play in the Swiss League next season; the league will be played with only eleven teams.
Although the people around former president Patrick Polli were not able to save the club, they nevertheless decided to continue discussions to quickly realize "a long-term project for professional hockey in the French-speaking Valais".
