The 34-year-old Pelletier is well-known in Switzerland. From 2010 to 2013 he suited up for the SCL Tigers in the National League A and was their captain in the first two seasons. He then returned to the Vancouver Canucks organisation and mainly played for their AHL-affiliate, the Utica Comets.
After two years in the Kontinental Hockey League, where he suited up for Medveščak Zagreb, Admiral Vladivostok, and Jokerit Helsinki, he returned to Utica last season and put up 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 52 games.
