Only in May, the 20-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Rockets and without having played a single game for them he decided to end his career in hockey. The club announces that they are not happy about the situation but could not say no to Auriemma's request.
Auriemma is a product of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' youth organisation. Last season, the youngster made his debut in the National League B and suited up in ten games for the Lakers (no points).
