Yannick Weber will remain in Nashville. The 29-year-old defender and the Predators have agreed on a two-year, $1.35 million contract extension deal through to the 2019-20 season.

Yannick Weber joined the Nashville Predators from the Vancouver Canucks in summer 2016. Prior to his three-year stint with the Canucks, he was part of the Montreal Canadiens organization for five straight years.

Since his NHL debut with the Habs in 2009, the native of Morges ((SUI)) has suited up in a total of 406 games (27 goals, 59 assists). This term so far, Weber has appeared in 25 games for the Preds, recording one goal and two assists.
