The Chicago Blackhawks used their 120th pick overall for Swiss forward Philipp Kurashev. After Nico Gross, he is the second Swiss player to be selected today.

The 18-year-old forward played for the Québec Remparts for the past two seasons and is also expected to be part of their team next season. His second season in the QMJHL was even more productive than his first: he recorded 60 points (19 goals) in 59 regular season games for the Remparts.

The product of SC Bern also played for the U20 national team this past season. At the World Juniors in Buffalo, New York, he recorded one goal and two assists in five games.
