Three days ago, on June 26, news got out that Eggenberger was invited to the development camp of the Canucks, despite not being picked in the NHL Entry Draft the weekend prior. Now, due to another unfortunate turn of events for the 18-year-old, he will not be attending the development camp. On a more positive note, the forward was drafted in the CHL Import Draft yesterday, June 28, by the Oshawa Generals.
