The defenseman, who most recently was placed on injured reserve by his team, says that the injury should not keep him from playing for too long: "I'm going to be out for about ten days," Weber says to the Tribune de Genève. "I take this break to recover and return with new energy."

Asked about his plans in case of a possible NHL-lockout in 2020, Weber says that he can imagine a return to Switzerland, and most likely to Genève-Servette HC: "Geneva would certainly be my first option," the 30-year-old says. Weber already suited up for the Grenats during the 2012-13 lockout. "I have great memories," he says. "I really enjoyed playing for Chris (McSorley) and for this club."
