Siegenthaler's assignment to Hershey was a paper move that became necessary because the Washington Capitals wanted to activate Evgeny Kuznetsov. In order to be able to do so, they needed to clear cap space.
The defender has appeared in three games for the Caps this season so far and is expected to play in tomorrow's game against the Dallas Stars.
