With the NBA reporting its first case of Covid-19 and pausing their season, the NHL has decided to also put the season on hold for the time being. In their press release, the league states that their goal is to resume play as soon as possible and eventually be able to award the Stanley Cup.
The NHL's development league, the AHL, has also decided to pause their season, as has the CHL and its three regional leagues, the WHL, the OHL and the QMJHL.
