Denis Malgin: Will he be able to stay in Lausanne?
Robert Hradil / RvS.Media

Chris Johnston (Sportsnet) was the first to report that the Toronto Maple Leafs placed Malgin on waivers. In order for him to be loaned to Lausanne HC for the entire season, this process had to be started. The risk is, however, that another team might acquire his rights.

Malgin was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in February 2020 but only got to play eight games for them. He is currently playing for Lausanne HC. In 19 games for them, he recorded eleven goals and eleven assists.
