As was somewhat to be expected, Alexandre Texier is continuing his career overseas. Having spent the season with the ZSC Lions to be closer to home, the Frenchman will return to the Columbus Blue Jackets this summer. Before coming to Switzerland, the 23-year-old had spent the last few seasons there and still has a valid contract with them.
"Alexandre Texier is an outstanding, young player who is an important part of our team and we are excited that he will be rejoining the club as expected next season," the Jacket's General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen notes. "His well-being has been our sole priority and we couldn't be happier that he is ready to resume what is a very promising NHL career at this time."
In 55 National League games for the Lions, the forward recorded 15 goals and 25 assists.
