According to Kevin Kurz (CSN Bay Area), the San Jose Sharks are close to signing Noah Rod to an entry-level deal. Earlier today, Le Matin had reported that Rod would join the San Jose Barracuda for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old forward was selected 53rd overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Due to injuries, Rod had only been able to suit up in 31 games for the Grenats this season, scoring five goals and nine assists. In 167 games with Genève-Servette HC thus far, he has recorded 19 goals and 29 assists.
