It's been a historic night for the newest team in the National Hockey League, the Vegas Golden Knights. In the Expansion Draft, they finally added players to their team. Among them: Swiss defenseman Luca Sbisa.

In addition to nightlife, gambling, and various exotic pleasures, there will also be hockey in "Sin City" as of the 2017-18 season. Also a Swiss is part of this historic event: In last night's Expansion Draft, Luca Sbisa was the Golden Knights' second pick on the way to their first-ever roster. The 27-year-old thus moves from Vancouver - often referred to as "Rain City" - to the Nevada desert.

After the Philadelphia Flyers, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Vancouver Canucks, the newly founded Vegas Golden Knights are Luca Sbisa's fourth team in the NHL since he moved from his youth team EV Zug to North America at the age of 17. If Sbisa will ever suit up for his new team, however, remains to be seen. There are still a few months before the start of the new season and the Golden Knights will definitely keep working on their team with trades of any kind.

Over the course of his career, Luca Sbisa has played 465 games in the National Hockey League and put up 88 points (16 goals, 72 assists). In his last season for the Vancouver Canucks, he was able to score two goals and eleven assists for 13 points.

And here is how the Vegas Golden Knights look like after the Expansion Draft:
