After a first NHL experience in the Chicago Blackhawks' development camp, EHC Kloten's forward Vincent Praplan is listed on the roster of the San Jose Sharks' prospect showcase. Also listed is Genève-Servette HC's forward Noah Rod.

The prospect showcase, a four-day tournament, takes place on September 9-12 in San Jose. It includes four teams: The Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, and San Jose Sharks. This means that Praplan will not be available for EHC Kloten's first three games of the season.

In July, Praplan was invited to the Chicago Blackhawks prospect camp despite not having been drafted. Several weeks ago, the 23-year-old winger stated that he hopes to make the jump to North America after the next season. This past term, he suited up in 56 games for EHC Kloten and was able to score 15 goals and 29 assists.

As for Noah Rod, the 21-year-old forward has already played seven games in AHL last season (one assist) with the Sharks' AHL affiliate the San Jose Barracuda. Back in May, Rod said that he will take part in the San Jose Sharks' development camp in order to earn a spot on their roster. If this is not the case, he wants to return to Switzerland. Rod had been drafted in 2014 in the 2nd round (53 overall) by the Sharks.
