Genève-Servette HC's Damien Riat will not be able to play in the Washington Capitals' rookie tournament, as the tourney was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. The team has found a solution for their prospects, though.

The tournament was supposed to take place in Estero, Florida. Due to the impending hurricane, the Capitals decided to pull out of the tournament. Instead, they will fly to Washington and play in scrimmages at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex over the five days they were meant to spend in Florida.

Riat, however, will not fly over the Washington. He will thus play in tonight's game against Lausanne HC, as Genève-Servette HC announces.
