Yesterday, Genève-Servette HC's forward Damien Riat was not sure about what to do next. Now he confirms that he will fly to Washington to play in the Capitals' pre-season camp.

"They want to see me at work. I'm sure it will be good for me," Riat says in today's Tribune de Genève. Just yesterday, before the game in Davos, the young forward did not know what to do. However, after a crushing defeat in Graubünden, he made up his mind and decided to fly to North America. "But I should be back soon enough. A little stronger, I hope, to help the team," he states in the newspaper.

Last week, his trip to the Capitals' rookie tournament was cancelled due to hurricane Irma. But the 20-year-old forward received an invitation to the Capitals' pre-season tournament shortly after. "This time, it would be with all the stars, Alex Ovechkin and co.," Riat said yesterday to the Tribune de Genève.
