"The report about Jonathan Dahlén playing in Switzerland is not true", J.P. Barry told news anchor Rick Dhaliwal from Vancouver-based radio station News 1130 in reaction to the Ticinonews' report.
Dahlén was drafted in the second round as 42nd overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2016 before he got traded to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Alexandre Burrows in February this year. Just two months later, the Canucks signed him to a three-year entry-level contract.
The left winger, who is described as a very skilled player with good hands and goal scoring abilities, started the 2017-18 season on loan with his former team Timrå IK in Sweden's second highest league (Allsvenskan), for which he managed to put up 29 goals and 21 assists in a total of 49 games last season.
