Kessler states that there are rumors that Boltshauser will join Lausanne HC for the upcoming season, as Cristobal Huet is expected to end his career after this season. Grassi, on the other hand, might sign with SC Bern. Both players' contracts will expire at the end of the season.

Boltshauser signed with EHC Kloten in 2015, joining them from the ZSC Lions, the club which developed him. Grassi, for his part, has been with Kloten since 2016. It was the first time he played for a club other than HC Ambrì-Piotta. In 19 games this season thus far, the forward has scored one goal and four assists.
