Rumor

Citing a North American source, Blick reports that Denis Hollenstein will suit up for the ZSC Lions in the upcoming season. Kevin Schäpfer, however, tells SRF that nothing has been signed yet.

The rumors will not stop even after Denis Hollenstein denied to several journalists (Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Tages-Anzeiger) on Sunday that he would leave Kloten before the end of his current contract (valid until 2020).

If the information Blick obtained indeed holds some merit, Kloten would have to release Hollenstein from his contract. However, according to a statement president Hans-Ulrich Lehmann made two weeks ago to Blick, they would probably let him leave: "I do not need an out clause. People who want to go, you have to let go."

Schläpfer, for his part, told SRF later on Tuesday that Hollenstein assured him that he has not signed anything yet. He is, however, in negotiations with "maybe several teams, but that is justifiable: he is one of the best forwards in our country".
