The 21-year-old's contract with the Grenats ran out at the end of the past season. As the Tribune de Genève reported in March, Genève-Servette HC has activated an option in Schweri's contract to extend his stint in Geneva for another season. The club, however, has not confirmed this yet.

Schweri joined GSHC back in 2016, when he returned from a two-year stint with the Sherbrooke Phoenix in the QMJHL, one of Canada's junior leagues. Since his return, the former youth player of EHC Kloten suited up in 77 games for Geneva and recorded 22 points (four goals).
