Rödin left HC Davos prematurely this summer to join the Anaheim Ducks on a one-way, one-year deal. Today, the Swedish winger cleared waivers.

Since the 27-year-old forward is in possession of a one-way contract worth $750,000, Rödin will earn the same salary in the American Hockey League as he would in the NHL playing with the Ducks.

According to the Swedish Aftonbladet, however, a return to Europe instead of playing with the Ducks' AHL-affiliate team, the San Diego Gulls, is apparently being considered as an option by Rödin.

As the same source reports, there is specific interest in the Swede from several European teams, including KHL's Dinamo Moskva, Dinamo Minsk, as well as National League's Genève-Servette HC.
