According to Luca Sciarini (Teleticino), Arno Del Curto is going to meet a member of HC Lugano's staff on Wednesday.

Del Curto has always been highly regarded by the Mantegazza family.

During Fuorigioco, Luca Sciarini revealed that Arno Del Curto is expected to be in Lugano tomorrow, presumably in order to talk with a member of the club. It was also revealed that already last week there had been a contact between someone close to Arno Del Curto and Roland Habisreutinger, to inform the team manager that the former HC Davos' coach is ready to come to Lugano.

The current head coach of HC Lugano, Greg Ireland, has a contract that will expire at the end of the 2018-2019 season, therefore it is plausible that HC Lugano is just exploring the market for the next season. However, it is clear that Ireland and the team are struggling, as HC Lugano is currently tenth in the standings, with only eleven points in eight games in November and the elimination in the CHL.

On Friday, Habisreutinger, in an interview with Corriere del Ticino, stated that, at that moment, there had not been any talks with Ireland for an extension of the contract, and that results are important but not the only thing that will be taken into account during the decision-making process.
