Alex Chatelain, team manager of SC Bern, confirms that they are in talks with Niklas Schlegel, however, he does not exclude any option. Although the ZSC Lions would gladly extend Schlegel's contract, as reported by the Blick, the goalkeeper first wants to test the market. Beside Bern and Zürich, other possible destinations for Schlegel are Davos and Lugano. However, Roland Habisreutinger, HC Lugano's team manager, already declined the interest for the 24-year-old, as he revealed that the club wants to sign an import.

Another option for SC Bern is to hire an import player. In this regards, Der Bund reports a strong interest for Lars Johansson, the Swedish goalkeeper currently playing for CSKA Moscow. HC Lugano is also reportedly interested in signing him in order to replace Elvis Merzlikins, who will leave for North America at the end of the season. However, Habisreutinger, in an interview with Ticinonline, replied "I do not talk about fantasy hockey" when asked about the Swede.
