EHC Biel's team manager Martin Steinegger confirms that the Seelanders have offered Marc-Antoine Pouliot a contract extension, but: "I'm under the impression that other clubs have made better proposals than ours," he says to the Journal du Jura.

According to the same source, especially Genève-Servette HC's coach and team manager Chris McSorley is said to be trying to lure the 33-year-old to Geneva. Pouliot, who might receive the Swiss passport soon, says: "Maybe... I don't know. I don't like talking about ongoing negotiations".

As for signing a fifth import-player, EHC Biel is waiting on the return of defenseman Beat Forster before deciding whether they should acquire either a defenseman or a forward.
