Rumor

According to journalist Stephan Roth (Blick), HC Lugano will not stop the 27-year-old Canadian from leaving the club.

Ryan Spooner is not happy with his situation.

Yesterday in Rapperswil, Ryan Spooner was the odd man out for the 11th time in a row. Too much for the Canadian forward, who moved to Lugano at the beginning of this season? As Roth writes, Spooner's future might lie in the Kontinental Hockey League, and not in Lugano and that the club will not stop him from leaving.

Ticino-based journalist Patrick Della Valle (Teleticino) adds that the Canadian might try his luck in Belarus' capital city and join Dinamo Minsk.

On Monday, Ryan Spooner himself was not willing to comment too closely on his situation in an interview with the Corriere del Ticino. Spooner said that, for now, he has no intention of leaving Lugano, but: "If I had to stay out for another five games, well, then it would be another story." One of these five games is now in the books.
