Reportedly, EHC Olten and Marco Truttmann met on Monday to discuss an early termination of the contract. The 34-year-old did not suit up for the last two games (two wins) of EHC Olten and Fredrik Söderström, head coach of the Mice, declared after the last game in Biasca, that his decision to keep the forward out of the lineup had influenced the team in a positive way. According to the newspaper, a return to the team seems unlikely after what happened.
Marco Truttmann has been playing for the Powermäuse since the 2012-13 season and is fifth in points, goals, and assists in the history of the club. Moreover, back in his first regular-season in Olten, Truttmann recorded 84 points, the fifth-most in a single season by any player with EHC Olten.
